Alternative rock band tricot confirmed that the four-piece will return to the United Kingdom and Ireland for a tour in November. These show are part of tricot’s Zang-Neng Tour, which began in Japan at the start of 2023 to mark the release of the band’s latest album, Fudeki.
It was only last fall that tricot toured Europe, with 20 shows in 10 countries, including sold-out shows in London, Manchester, Paris, and Brussels. This November, tricot will perform 12 shows in the United Kingdom and one show in the Republic of Ireland, specifically in the capital Dublin. It is unknown if the four-piece will have plans to tour mainland Europe at a later date.
The album title Fudeki means useless in Japanese, which is the opposite of their previous album title, Jodeki (excellent). The tour name Zang-Neng is a reading of the Japanese phrase meaning ‘that’s too bad’, a title chosen by vocalist Ikkyu Nakajima as an extension to the album title Fudeki.
