BiSH, Tokyo Ska Paradise Orchestra, Mori Calliope, Vaundy, Saucy Dog and Gen Hoshino headliners for YouTube Music Weekend vol. 6

Another YouTube Music Weekend is coming up, a weekend full of Japanese music, organised by YouTube Japan and now supported by au. Over three days, from Friday 25 November to 27 November, you will again get the chance to enjoy old favourites, as well as discover new names.

We are now talking about the sixth instalment where 58 artists will join to showcase something of their work, through which live recordings, (brand-)new and older material. Something not seen in previous editions is the breakdown by genres, such as anime songs, singer-songwriters, Japanese rock, boy groups, virtual artists, enka and more, but the artists are also linked to YouTube Music playlists, such as The Hit List and J-HIST! The Hit List stage will be headlined by well-known names such as BiSH, Tokyo Ska Paradise Orchestra, Mori Calliope, Vaundy, Saucy Dog and Gen Hoshino.

Following YouTube Music Weekend vol. 5, emerging and popular Japanese artists have been invited by Tokyo International Music Market (TIMM) for the upcoming edition.

Deelnemende artiesten van YouTube Music Weekend vol.6: BiSH / 東京スカパラダイスオーケストラ (Tokyo Ska Paradise Orchestra) / Mori Calliope / Vaundy / Saucy Dog / 星野源 (Gen Hoshino) / Aile The Shota / 岩田剛典 (Takanori Iwata) / 上坂すみれ (Sumire Uesaka) / 岸田教団&THE明星ロケッツ (Kishida Kyoudan & The Akeboshi Rockets) / キタニタツヤ (Tatsuya Kitani) / 鬼頭明里 (Akari Kito) / CUBERS / 清 竜人 (Ryujin Kiyoshi) / 工藤静香 (Shizuka Kudo) / 小林柊矢 (Touya Kobayashi) / 小比類巻かほる (Kahoru Kohiruimaki) / the shes gone / 椎名佐千子 (Sachiko Shiina) / 島倉千代子 (Chiyoko Shimakura) / 純烈 (JUNRETSU) / 新東京 (Neo Tokyo) / SUPER BEAVER / 鈴木みのり (Minori Suzuki) / 小鳥遊キアラ (Kiara Takanashi) / 竹内アンナ (Anna Takeuchi) / Tani Yuuki / Deep Sea Diving Club / Dios / TOMOO / niKu / にしな (Nishina) / Newspeak / Novel Core / BUCK-TICK / BUDDiiS / 春ねむり (HARU NEMURI) / BEGIN / BIM / 藤井フミヤ (Fumiya Fujii) / 舟木一夫 (Kazuo Funaki) / PES / 変態紳士クラブ (HENTAI SHINSHI CLUB) / Penthouse / マカロニえんぴつ (Macaroni Empitsu) / MADKID / マハラージャン (MAHARAJAN) / 水野あつ (Atsu Mizuno) / 都はるみ (Harumi Miyako) / Moona Hoshinova / ヤングスキニー (Yangskinny) / YUKI / YONA YONA WEEKENDERS / reGretGirl / Ryu Matsuyama / 緑黄色社会 (Ryokuoushoku Shakai) / LUNA SEA / ROTTENGRAFFTY

A cropped version of a photo of Shuya Onuki as KAMIKAMIKAMI, but edited in a way that it shows an eerie and mysterious moment. The photo consists of a bright light source, most probably the sun, and the musician who seemed to have taken the photo in a window. The editing is done by Floor Toppets @/fl00r99 on Instagram, and shows blurring and filters, making it an abstract photo.
