The all-female steampunk power metal band FATE GEAR will return to Europe for a new tour. It will be the third European tour for the Tokyo-based band and will consist of 15 shows in seven countries, including their first shows in The Netherlands.

The European tour, organised by German booking agency Riot Rock Booking and titled Battle Against Justice Tour 2022, starts on the 28th of April in Germany and consists of a couple of shows at conventions, such as aniMUC and Japan Touch Haru. Battle Against Justice is the title of their single that was released in the summer of 2021. There is an EP on the way for FATE GEAR, with the title Killers in the Sky.

The musicians that will tour with ‘Captain’ Mina on guitar are vocalist NANA who has joined a European tour with FATE GEAR before, Yuri on the keyboard, Erika on Bass en Haruka on drums on the first six shows and then ex-GALMET drummer Idyako will take over the drums as a special guest drummer for the rest of the European tour.

The tour dates are as follows:

Thursday 28 April 2022: Cafe Central – Weinheim, Germany
Friday 29 April 2022: Rauch Club – Feldkirch, Austria
Saturday 30 April 2022: Café Bar Treppenhaus – Rorschach, Switzerland
Sunday 1 May 2022: aniMUC – Fürstenfeldbruck, Germany
Monday 2 May 2022: Explosiv – Graz, Austria
Tuesday 3 May 2022: Underworld – London, United Kingdom
Wednesday 4 May 2022: Schwimmbad Club – Wolfsburg, Germany
Thursday 5 May 2022: Kulttempel – Oberhausen, Germany
Friday 6 May 2022: Kulturzentrum Das Rind – Rüsselsheim, Germany
Saturday 7 May 2022: La Barakason – Thônex, Switzerland
Sunday 8 May 2022: Japan Touch Haru – Lyon, France
Monday 9 May 2022: Brin de Zink – Barberaz, France
Tuesday 10 May 2022: L’Atelier Rock – Huy, Belgium
Wednesday 11 May 2022: Effenaar – Eindhoven, Netherlands
Thursday 12 May 2022: Baroeg – Rotterdam, Netherlands

If regular tickets are not your thing, you can also choose to buy VIP tickets where you will get a chance to meet the band, get a photo with them, a signed poster and card of the band plus a merchandise gift.

While FATE GEAR started activities in 2015, the previous band of ‘Captain’ Mina, Destrose, got formed in 2007 and can be seen as the forerunner of now popular bands as BABYMETAL and LOVEBITES. But FATE GEAR certainly has its own story to tell. They have created the song Megabullets which was used for the Netflix anime series Kengan Ashura and that resulted in more attention on the fashionable metal band. In the meantime they have released their fourth album, a concept album entitled The Sky Prison and for one of the songs Sky Pirates, they created a music video that received more than 1 million views.

This is a digital painting of the avatar of Vocaloid producer and songwriter Kikuo with colourful and flowing long hair and two red horns. The painting shows Kikuo in a movement where he moves his arms, making it look that he has several arms. The avatar seems to be mysterious with a quiet but expressive look. This painting has been used for the Kikuo World Tour 2024 – 2025 “Kikuoland-Go-Round” promotion.
