HYPER JAPAN will return as real-life event in 2022
Share on FacebookShare on TwitterShare on RedditShare on Tumblr

After skipping 2020 and going online for a full month of Japanese culture showcasing, the UK-based convention HYPER JAPAN announced that they will return to a real-life, in-person festival in 2022. The event is scheduled to take place from 22 to 24 July 2022 at Evolution in London. How HYPER JAPAN communicated this was as you would expect from a Japan-related event: “Tadaima, we’re back!”.

Tickets for the event will go on sale from the first of March in the new year. The organisation shared a thank you to all of those who have been supporting HYPER JAPAN, but also the patience of those who have been supporting the event. It is a matter of waiting to see what the programming will look like, in particular, which Japanese artists will be invited to the event. It is expected that this will be revealed in the near future, probably before the ticket sale will start.

Normally HYPER JAPAN Festival has two events a year, but they had to turn the programming around in 2020 (or better said shelve it) and came up with a massive interactive online event last summer, HYPER JAPAN ONLINE. At the moment, they are still offering several online events on their website.
