Missed the 2021 edition of Fuji Rock Festival? The event took place for three days from the 20th of August to the 22nd of August at the usual location Naeba Ski Resort with an audience, but it was also broadcasted live on the YouTube channel of the festival. Later on, it was even shared again on Japanese television. But those who missed out on it all or want to enjoy it again, can still enjoy a glimpse of the festival. A couple of suggestions from AVO Magazine can be found below.

At the moment, more than 30 clips from the festival have been shared in a list, from performances of Tempalay to Mega Shinnosuke and many more. Not all the artists that have performed at the 2021 edition are on the list, but still enough to enjoy the atmosphere of Fuji Rock. In addition, a YouTube playlist with nine performances that were part of ROOKIE A GO-GO is also shared. These performers are dubbed as up-and-coming groups on the point to get a breakthrough.

envy

Seen by many as iconic or even legends, this performance at Fuji Rock Festival 2021, is yet another example of why this band should be seen live. Active since 1992, the screamo band envy recently released a live album with 11 tracks, titled LAST WISH live at liquidroom Tokyo.

THE SPELLBOUND

A couple of years after the death of BOOM BOOM SATELLITES vocalist Michiyuki Kawashima, Masayuki Nakano started looking for a new vocalist for a completely new music unit and found the vocalist of THE NOVEMBERS, Yusuke Kobayashi. The rock unit THE SPELLBOUND began activities officially at the start of 2021 with the release of new songs for 5 consecutive months.

Ms.Machine

While they have been active since 2015, the three-member rock band Ms.Machine caught the attention of many after releasing its debut album at the start of 2021. If you listen to it, you will clearly feel that the heaviness of the music makes the air thick and the repetition makes it almost hypnotic. This band was part of ROOKIE A GO-GO at Fuji Rock Festival 2021.

This is a digital painting of the avatar of Vocaloid producer and songwriter Kikuo with colourful and flowing long hair and two red horns. The painting shows Kikuo in a movement where he moves his arms, making it look that he has several arms. The avatar seems to be mysterious with a quiet but expressive look. This painting has been used for the Kikuo World Tour 2024 – 2025 “Kikuoland-Go-Round” promotion.
