Since performing on stage is not yet possible for Japanese theatrical group Japone Artists, they have decided to reach and engage with their audience via social media channels by means of a video podcast.
Japone Artists asked the audience to leave questions under their videos so that they can answer them in future episodes of the video podcast. The first episode of the video podcast, titled Japone Artists Talk, most of the members joined the podcast and interviewed each other. The second episode focuses on the first original music piece and music video.

About Japone Artists

Japone Artists art a Japanese theatrical group that consists of eight internationally performing Japanese artists in The Netherlands, Germany and Japan. The theatrical shows that Japone presents contain many elements of beauty, drama, humour, projection art and original or remixed stories. Started out in 2016, the theatrical group has been performing at Abunai!, Kinjin Matsuri, at Seinwezen and at Patronaat in Haarlem. Furthermore, the group joined the virtual edition of AnimeCon in June 2020. This special stream got uploaded on the YouTube channel of Japone. Two members of Japone Artists, Utako Arakawa and Ayumi Matsuda, had the opportunity to perform two short performances at the CAMERA JAPAN Film Festival in September this year.

Recently Japone Artists also published a music video for the song Sakura Gensou (Cherry Blossom Fantasy) with a ‘stay at home’ setting. It is the first music video the group has made, and it is also the first time that Japone produced and released an original piece of music.
