The first European tour of Visual Kei metal band DEVILOOF, originally planned for 2020 and postponed to 2021 due to the ongoing pandemic, has been cancelled after all. This was announced by the organisers Kinetic Vibe and V STAR PROMOTION.
On the social media of Kinetic Vibe, a long message has been shared about the reason to cancel the European tour. They explained that they have been discussing for many months with the band and their new management without coming to a conclusion after the tour got postponed to the spring of 2021.
They declared the following: “We’ve tried in many ways to keep a collaborative channel with the band’s label in the last months. We were almost ready to announce a new schedule for 2021, but with the current unstable situation due to the COVID-19 pandemic, we had quite a few issues with some of the venues or substitutive venues. To facilitate everyone, we asked the band for a new availability schedule, even willing to postpone the tour through the summer or autumn since the future is still unclear, but surely we were working to make this tour happen. But after continuous lack of feedback, inconclusive negotiation, we’ve reached a point where the tour contract clauses were breached. We, along with V STAR PROMOTION tried our best to avoid the cancellation of this tour, but we decided to CANCEL the tour because we can’t keep our customers waiting for answers when we are not provided with clear decisions from the other side.”
At the moment of writing, the metal band hasn’t commented on the cancellation of the European tour.
Those who follow the Visual Kei band, know that they were planning to go to Europe for quite some time. In 2017 DEVILOOF announced the plans for a European tour in 2018, a year later it was announced that they would tour in Europe in 2019. In June 2019, the band broke their silence with the message that they haven’t given up on their plans and that they are planning for their world tour. A few months later, they announced that the European tour was finally set for 2020 and shared the dates in November last year. In May of this year, the organisations and the band announced the postponement of the tour to the spring of 2021 due to the pandemic. It is unfortunate to see this ending in no European tour at all.
