After the release of the second album of April in 85, titled SLEEP IN WHITE, in the fourth month of this year, the band was planning to do a release party to celebrate this fact. But due to the current ongoing situation around COVID-19, the pop-rock band had to postpone the one-man show a couple of times.
After all the shifting to a new date, the band decided to livestream the performance without an audience at their favourite venue Shimokitazawa Daisybar. This means that fans in and outside Japan will be able to catch the show.
The show is planned for Sunday 18 October and will start at 13.00 Japanese time (05:00 British time and 06:00 Netherlands time). The platform to watch the full performance is called Twitcasting, where April in 85 have streamed before, on the channel of Daisybar. This livestream will be a multi-angle camera stream, with the use of four cameras. A streaming ticket can be purchased on the same platform and will be 2000 yen. If you are not able to catch the performance live, you will be able to watch the archive of the performance for two weeks after the show.
In 2016, singer-songwriter yuichi abe (as the musician likes to write it himself) decided after releasing some solo material to be active in a band again. This band got named April in 85, to refer to his birth month and year. The band has been self-producing their own music, from many singles and three albums, including the album EDUCATION which is filled with a combination of previously unreleased tracks, tracks that were sold at concerts and are nowhere else available, but also a number of tracks that were on a single and are not put on the new album SLEEP IN WHITE. The album was released to make up for the postponement of the one-man show in April. The musician gets support from bassist Ayumi Shiraishi (CUICUI), guitarist Maki (CUICUI) and drummer PIROPIRO (ex-HISTGRAM).
