Visual Kei band MUCC announced their second no-audience live stream, planned for 20 September. The show, titled Fight against COVID-19 #3 – ‘AKU THE BROKEN RESUSCITATION’ will be streamed live on 7 different platforms.

They didn’t forget about their fans outside Japan and will stream especially for overseas audience taking place on Live From. The live performance at Tokyo’s brand new music hub Takeshiba Port Hall will take place at 3 AM PDT, 6 AM EDT, 11 AM BST and 12 PM CEST. Virtual tickets for this stream are currently available. For the live broadcasting in Japan, there will be other options, such as e+ Streaming+, Nico Nico Live, PIA Live Stream, l-tike, LINE LIVE-VIEWING and neobridge.

The Visual Kei band was supposed to tour Europe earlier this year after 5 years of absence on European soil. This stream will be a balm to ease the pain for the fans who have been waiting for a long time to see the rock band live. It is still unknown if the band will return to Europe in the near future, especially with the current ongoing situation keeping in mind it is difficult to plan a new tour.

MUCC formed in 1997 and is also known by the nickname 69, since the numbers six and nine can be pronounced ‘mu’ and ‘ku’, in Japanese. They are seen as members of the Japanese Visual Kei movement of the 2000s and incorporate nu-metal, industrial, technical thrash, and even disco in their songs. Ao Sakurai from cali≠gari took an interest in the band in the beginning years and MUCC got a deal with the label of Ao, Misshitsu Neurose. In 2003, MUCC signed to Universal and released their first major-label debut album. They have been performing outside Japan, a couple of times. They have performed at Wacken Open Air in 2005, that was their debut in Europe. They also went to North and South America, toured Europe in 2008, 2009, 2011 and 2015. This is just a short description of a band that has been active for more than 20 years. You can enjoy MUCC’s music on Spotify.

Currently consisting of vocalist Tatsuro, guitarist Miya, bassist YUKKE, and drummer SATOchi, the band released many singles, albums, EPs and even compilation and self-cover albums. Their latest release is an album, their 15th, is 惡 (Aku), released in June of this year.

In May the rock band published a video where they did a Remote Super Live where the members performed at their homes combined with live footage.

A cropped version of a photo of Shuya Onuki as KAMIKAMIKAMI, but edited in a way that it shows an eerie and mysterious moment. The photo consists of a bright light source, most probably the sun, and the musician who seemed to have taken the photo in a window. The editing is done by Floor Toppets @/fl00r99 on Instagram, and shows blurring and filters, making it an abstract photo.
