Metal band Crossfaith have been teasing for a while that they would share a tour announcement and today was the day for this specific announcement. It will not be a normal tour, as maybe a lot of people would have expected. Instead, the metal band announced their first virtual tour, named SPECIES VIRTUAL WORLD TOUR – OPEN THE DIMENSIONS.

This virtual world tour will be shown via TOKYO SESSIONS, Live Nation Japan’s new and exclusive live streaming series. To make it extra special, Crossfaith will be the first musical artist to kick off this new series with an exclusive one-man performance at Liquidroom Tokyo. This pay-per-view live distribution programme will push Japanese artists on the international stage. Crossfaith, a band that has been touring worldwide a few times already, will perform live on Saturday, September 12.

The one-off live stream concerts will feature performances of leading Japanese artists recorded at studios and live venues across the city for worldwide broadcasting. It will also feature collaborations between musicians and visual artists with the focus to deliver an experience that can only be achieved in, how Live Nation Japan describes it as, the digital realm.

The Japanese artist team MES, who draws attention to the futuristic and psychedelic production that makes full use of the original laser animation and live taping, will be in charge of the visual production for this first episode of TOKYO SESSIONS.

It is possible to buy an access code for the live stream for your own region, the Americas, Europe and Asia/Australia. The performance of Crossfaith will start at 9 PM British Summer Time (10 PM in The Netherlands). The band shared, totally in style, a tour poster with different big cities all over the world and their starting times of the show on the 12th of September. To celebrate Crossfaith’s first live streaming, in addition to the standard tickets, there will be a possibility to buy a viewing ticket with a limited t-shirt that is specially designed for this virtual show. Crossfaith recently released the five-track EP SPECIES as the follow-up of their latest album released in 2018, titled EX_MACHINA.
