In just one music video the pop idol group Juice=Juice races through a couple of decades of pop music, western and Japanese, while referencing to it with the 8 pop idols wearing different clothing styles that are connected to these periods. The result is a catchy mash-up that jumps off the screen and brights up the day. Pop Music is truly a nod to the music’s genre, with a lot of recognition for those who are more familiar with the older pop music, especially disco, and a good introduction for those who are not.
There is no way to sit still while hearing the pop tunes and seeing how much fun the Juice=Juice group members are having while dancing in the different outfits and singing about nostalgia.
Pop Music can be found on the newest single of the Hello!Project unit, a double-A single titled Pop Music/好きって言ってよ (Sukitte Itteyo, Let’s Say I Like You), that has a release date on the first of April. It is the first single with Juice=Juice’s newest members Yume Kudo and Riai Matsunaga. For one of the original members Karin Miyamoto it is the last single she made with the pop unit, as she will leave the group and Hello!Project later this year to focus on solo work. From the formation of the pop unit in 2013, Juice=Juice has released two albums and 12 major singles, making the upcoming release their 13th single.
