Haru Nemuri was planning to go to the United States for a performance on South by Southwest (SXSW), but this was cancelled due to the current situation regarding COVID-19. The singer-songwriter also had planned a tour through America connected to the performance at SXSW, but she recently decided not to continue with these shows. She did make a promise to her fans in the United States to return and immediately announced new tour dates for September.

Since the shows have been postponed, Haru Nemuri has announced to do a show without physical spectators and have it broadcast via a live stream. The stream will take place on Monday March 22nd at 20.00 to 23.00 hours, Pacific Daylight Time (PDT). (23.00 EDT, 22.00 CDT, 21.00 MDT). In case you live in Europe and don’t want to miss this live stream, this will be in the middle of the night of Sunday to Monday: 3.00 GMT. The title of the show is Unused Visa (click!), referring to the visa the musician has received but currently, she is unable to use it.

Haru Nemuri says the following about the situation: “As a musician, I’m going to do whatever I can do now. So, I would like you to come to my gigs when the virus situation will be getting better. If we’re living, we can meet each other wherever we are. I believe.”

Haru Nemuri has been working hard to make her work known overseas. She did a European tour this Summer with mostly sold-out shows, but also toured in Asia. For the musician, it was a big deal to perform at Primavera Sound 2019, a large music festival with an attendance of around 175,000 people, while she is an independent artist. But before this all, she released her debut album 春と修羅 (Haru To Shura) in 2018, which received critical acclaim all over the world. Currently, the album has gotten almost 6 million streams on Spotify. The singer-songwriter has a new album planned, titled LOVETHEISM, it will be released on 20 March.
