The organisation of Tokyo 2020 revealed the official Games Motto for the Olympic and Paralympic Games, United by Emotion. According to the organisation, The Motto emphasises the power of sport to bring together people from diverse backgrounds to connect and celebrate in a way that reaches beyond their differences.

A video to explain this Motto got published on their official YouTube channel. In this video you will hear and see professional tennis player Naomi Osaka, who won two Grand Slam singles titles at 2018 US Open and the 2019 Australian Open and is currently ranked No. 1 by the Women’s Tennis Association (WTA).

The Olympic Games will start on 24 July and the Paralympic Games will start on 25 August.
