Meigum – Puchi Puchi Sherbet – Simple

With this kit you create six small ice cubes, or rather sherbet cubes. There are four versions of the mould available, I got the one with the giraffe, crab, rocket, sheep, seal and squirrel. Each kit includes a mould, a pipette, three powders and a mixing tray.

I honestly didn’t expect to enjoy this kit as much as I did. Its flavours and textures are perfect for the summer time.
The yellow jelly still had a jelly texture, even after being frozen for two hours. It tasted a bit like it was supposed to be orange flavoured, but I’m not a hundred percent sure about that, or about any of the other flavours in this kit. The pink jelly balls didn’t seem to have a distinct flavour, but that’s probably because they were immersed In the blue liquid.
I expected the blue solution to just turn into a solid ice cube, but instead it actually seemed to have the texture of shaved ice! I think it was supposed to have a grape flavour and overall it was sweet but refreshing.
Overall I loved the flavours, but fair warning: If you have sensitive teeth this may not be the best kit for you, as you literally chew on ice when you’re eating it.

Although the waiting will take some time, the kit itself doesn’t take long to make at all. The mould does need to stay in the freezer for two hours.

This kit is very easy to make, just follow the instructions and you’ll get the desired result.
Similarity: 
As you can see on the pictures below, the final product looks very similar to the packaging, at least in shape. The colours are less layered than on the packaging, making the ones with jelly on top more yellow and pink, rather than yellow, pink and blue. The shapes are exactly as depicted and pretty clear, even on the blue ones.
Want to enjoy this kit again?
Clean the mould with warm water, after using it, and let it air dry. Don’t use soap to clean the mould.
If you want to reuse this mould you could use it to make some gummies, small puddings or even some chocolates. You could also use it to shape fondant or candies.
