MV Review: Who the Bitch – Letter

ehi and Nao from rock band Who the Bitch have been active since their return two and a half years ago. Soon it is time to celebrate the 15th anniversary of the band.

But currently, they are preparing for their upcoming release, next month. The rock band published a music video to promote their fifth mini-album. Letter is the title of their release, but also one of the songs who understandably received a music video. In the video, the two rock girls get the support by Mizue (ex-TsuShiMaMiRe) who have been the support drummer for Who the Bitch for a while.

The music video is full of magic, where all ladies show off their magical skills while wearing the same black and white clothing with intriguing cloaks and sunglasses. While Letter is filled with a catchy refrain and guitar riffs strengthened by the very present drums and bass lines, the music video is silly and well put together. Maybe for this video, it isn’t Who the Bitch who we have been watching, but Who the Witch! Letter is a perfect song to sing along with, perfectly suitable during live shows. Talking about that, isn’t it time to welcome them back to Europe?

The mini-album Letter will be released on 25th of September by SWOON records/PCI MUSIC and contains 7 tracks. It is possible to pre-order it on CD Japan.

Rating: 80/100

Colourful artistic cover of TsuShiMaMiRe 20th full-length album バンドは水物 (MIZUMONO), featuring the three members at that time, vocalist and guitarist Mari, bass player Yayoi and drummer Maiko. There are masks drawn on their faces and on top of it the band name and album title in a font that seems like splashes of water.

The photo shows the members of Violent Magic Orchestra, outside what appears to be a European city at night. Most probably the photo was taken in Norway. The members are all posing differently and dressed in black, all are wearing the same band shirt.
