Japanese garage quartet Otoboke Beaver (おとぼけビ~バ~) announced that they will perform for the first time on the mainland of Europe. They are confirmed for Lowlands 2019, an annual three-day music and performing arts festival, held in The Netherlands. The 2019-edition will take place on 16, 17 and 18 August in Biddinghuizen.
The band has performed a few times in the United Kingdom during the Golden Week in May. Because the women of Otoboke Beaver are working full time and only can get a few days off during the year, so their performing dates overseas are always limited. Their performance at Lowlands is an exclusive show and the band confirmed that there will be no other shows during their trip to Europe.
The performance of Otoboke Beaver is scheduled on Saturday 17 August at 19.35 in the X-Ray tent.
Otoboke Beaver are a punk-rock-garage quartet from Kyoto. The band’s name is taken from a local love hotel and got formed in the Summer of 2009. The band calls itself as the Japanese ‘knock out of pound cake’ band and sings only in Kyoto street language. Otoboke Beaver consists of head vocalist and guitarist Accorinrin, guitarist Yoyoyoshie, bassist Hiro-chan and drummer Pop. Earlier this year, the band released the album ITEKOMA HITS, a compilation album with a few new tracks.
