IBASHO gallery will celebrate the Summer in Antwerp and Japanese culture with the third edition of the Japan Market on Saturday 3 August, the day of the Museum Night in Antwerp. You can visit the market from 12.00 till 19.00.
In addition of the current exhibition Neko Project, you can see the works of Margaret Lansink in the book shop, while listening to Dutch DJ Jazzfunked. IBASHO has also invited the London based Japanese ceramist Naoko Sano to display and offer her wabi-sabi vases. HopSaké will offer sake tastings, sparkling sake, ‘Neko’ sake bottles, KitKat with sake and ceramic sake cups created by Yoshifumi Hatakeyama. Furthermore, there will be sushi poke bowls served by sushi restaurant Ko’uzi.
After the Japan Market, the gallery will have a Summer break from Monday 5 August until September. The day before, Sunday 4 August, will be the last day of the Neko Project exhibition.
