CampZone 2019 becomes more sustainable with green internet

Gaming enthusiasts will soon be able to enjoy themselves again during the 2019 edition of CampZone. This year the event takes place from July 26 to August 25 in Veghel.

During CampZone there will be competitions with games like Mario Kart, PlayerUnknown’s BattleGrounds, Overwatch, League of Legends, Super Smash Bros. and many more, but there is also room for games where you need to be more active than only sitting, such as soap football, live Cluedo, and the newest addition Real-Life Pong. By pulling on ropes, two players control a real paddle with which the ball is played back. The Blobby Volley competition is back in the programme, volleyball as a coloured, formless entity. Who will win this CampZone classic this year? There are also various cosplay competitions to participate in. And every evening it is possible to end it with a nice drink and a snack by a campfire.

Because CampZone is aware that internet use costs a lot of energy, it has been decided to provide green internet of SNLR for the visitors. Games such as PlayerUnknown’s BattleGrounds, Rocket League and Overwatch will be played this year via fiber optic with green internet.

In addition to game competitions, a varied program is offered daily with activities such as a cosplay competition, campfires, barbecues, bingo and various team sport competitions. CampZone attracts thousands of visitors every year and is taking place for the 19th time this year. CampZone is organized by Duh-Events and made possible by the municipality of Meierijstad and Rabobank.

There are several ticket types available for CampZone 2019. Price varies from € 49.00 to € 279.00. A day visit is also possible for € 10.00. More information can be found on the website of CampZone.

A cropped version of a photo of Shuya Onuki as KAMIKAMIKAMI, but edited in a way that it shows an eerie and mysterious moment. The photo consists of a bright light source, most probably the sun, and the musician who seemed to have taken the photo in a window. The editing is done by Floor Toppets @/fl00r99 on Instagram, and shows blurring and filters, making it an abstract photo.
