SIENNÁ is a jack of all trades, she is an up-and-coming DJ, songwriter, producer, keyboardist, singer and has been active as a live electronic artist in Europe and Asia. She has been living in Norway for years and makes mixes in the avant-garde EDM genre with electronics, house, jazz, and traditional modern Japanese music and rebels against the copycat music trend she has seen coming up. She describes her music as the East meets the West in a dreamy cross-over electronica.

Play (Reassess Remix) is a new remixed and remastered version of the original track Play (Vermilion Bird of the South) that was released in 2013 on the LP Japonesque. The remix got released in June and is part of a series of remixes of the music of SIENNÁ which got released every month from November 2017, Play (Reassess Remix) was the ninth and final remix of this series.

The original can be described as a lounge track with an accelerated beat with Japanese elements, including a Japanese bamboo flute. Play is one of the most popular EDM tracks from SIENNÁ and therefore it is not surprising that a remix has been made that contains more peace and fits the Summer season. The traditional Japanese elements are not eliminated at the remix, but are embraced once again. With this remix SIENNÁ has made a music video that does not seem to contain a real story and is more a collection of recognizable moments in life, where the beautiful moments of life (in the Summer) are honored. The remix does not break down anything from the original and shows in a nice way another side of the song Play.

Apart from the addition of the band logo and the song title placed, the background is completely black. In the centre of the image, two robotic hands are shown and in the middle of these hands a coin with an eye on it is placed. This is surrounded by a sort of halo and green smoke.

This is a digital painting of the avatar of Vocaloid producer and songwriter Kikuo with colourful and flowing long hair and two red horns. The painting shows Kikuo in a movement where he moves his arms, making it look that he has several arms. The avatar seems to be mysterious with a quiet but expressive look. This painting has been used for the Kikuo World Tour 2024 – 2025 “Kikuoland-Go-Round” promotion.
