The heavy metal band SABER TIGER (サーベル・タイガー) announced a tour through Eastern Europe. It is the first time for the band to tour in Europe. The band will perform in four different countries for twelve shows. The tour will start at the end of May in Ukraine and ends on 9 June in Latvia, furthermore, the band will perform in Russia and Lithuania. SABER TIGER will be promoting their latest and probably most interesting album release, Bystander Effect.
Founded in 1981 by guitarist Akihito Kinoshita, Saber Tiger have been a centerpiece of the Japanese metal scene ever since. Their latest album, Bystander Effect (released via Sliptrick Records in March 2018) is the result of the band’s new-found creativity, which has led the band to be rather prolific in more recent years. The release of Bystander Effect is not just a simple re-issue for the international market; four of the tracks, originally in Japanese, have been re-recorded with English lyrics, while the brand new acoustic instrumental Ship Of Theseus and a new recording of the Saber Tiger classic First Class Fool are exclusive to the Sliptrick Records release.
SABER TIGER consists of singer Takenori Shimoyama, guitarists Akihito Kinoshita and Yasuhara Tanaka, bassist Hibiki and drummer Yasuhiro Mizuno.
