Product Review: Heart – Shin Chan Butt Pudding versie 5

Photographs by MuchMunchies

This is not a sponsored review and because of this I won’t mention where I bought this set, if you do an online search using the name of this kit you’ll be able to find this one in several webshops.

Heart – Shin Chan Butt Pudding version 5 – Simple
Price:
± €3 for one of them
Extra supplies: Milk, Small Measuring Cup, Scissors, Spoon, Cocktail Stick or Toothpick, Refrigerator, Microwave*, Heatproof Bowl or Cup
* Instead of melting the gelatine in the microwave you could heat it au bain-marie, with a heatproof glass bowl on top of a pan with a small layer of boiling water. Stir gently until all of the gelatine has melted.

With these two kits you create cute Shin Chan themed puddings, this is a newer version of this kit. Kit A includes a mould for Buriburizaemon and Shin Chan. Kit B’s mould has Shin Chan and his dog Shiro. Both kits include a butt mould as well. These sets are sold separately.

Flavour: ♥♥♥
The flavours in this kit surprised me a bit, the powder and sauce smelled pretty sweet, but none of the elements were overly sweet. In fact, they were subtly sweet.

The pudding had a vanilla flavour to it and was very tasty. The sauce had a strawberry flavour, but it wasn’t very noticeable on top of the puddings.

In the previous version the ‘soap bubbles’ were strawberry flavoured as well and since I really like strawberries and like the combination, this is definitely a plus for me.

Time needed: ⧗
Most of the time you ‘spend’ on these kits is waiting time, since the pudding has to set for about 2 to 3 hours in the refrigerator. Removing the puddings from the moulds and applying the sauce doesn’t take very long at all.

Difficulty level: ★
The kits are very easy to make, since you only need to add milk and it’s indicated how much milk you have to add. Make sure to be gently when you remove the puddings, loosen the sides with a toothpick first and then gently nudge the pudding out.

Similarity: ???
As you can see on the pictures below, the final product looks very similar to the packaging. The colours are slightly off, but it’s clearly the same product and the puddings even have a little red shine outside of the coloured lines, which happens when you try to spread the sauce around.

TIPS: Use a small measuring cup to pour the pudding mixture into the moulds.

You can use the toothpick or cocktail stick to spread out the sauce on top of the puddings, once you’ve dripped it on top.

Want to enjoy these kits again?

Clean the mould with warm water, after using it, and let it air dry. Don’t use soap to clean the mould.

If you want to reuse the mould you could make your own pudding or even something like chocolate. You can use strawberry juice or jam to replace the sauce.

A group photo of the band Iscream Never Ground posing in front of a colourful backdrop, created by graffiti. All members are dressed in the same way, same dark shirt with paint splatter motive, but they are wearing a different colour pants and shoes. Those pants and shoes are in the same colour for each member, perhaps used as a member colour. The members stand in a row and strike a pose as if they are making an exaggerated walking motion: one leg is raised and the other is on the ground, one arm is balled into a fist and held close to their face, whilst the other arm, also with a clenched fist, is positioned behind them, with their elbows bent. © アイスクリームネバーグラウンド - Iscream Never Ground
