When we talk about OWARIKARA (オワリカラ),we know that we can expect funk, rock and blues in terms of music. The band has been active since 2008 and is known for their energetic shows and has many releases on their name.
The band came in May 2016 with their first commercial album titled つ い に 秘密 は あ ば か れ た (tsuini himitsu wa abakareta, finally the secret is known), for many fans it was “finally a new album, since they have had to wait two years. To promote the album, the band put a music video online with Virtual Reality technology shortly before the end of 2016, where you can rotate 360 degrees in the video. This also only works on the smartphone, if you look at this on your PC it is also interesting to watch the video, but you will soon see that the effect is not as good as when you look at it via your smartphone and especially with VR glasses!
ついに秘密はあばかれた is a fast and swinging song, which is extra emphasized by the music video. It is played with colors, flashy images, rotoscopy and crazy images and shapes. The video shows a psychedelic effect that strongly supports the song. From the beginning of the video you would not expect this to happen, given the start with the band – consisting of guitarist and vocalist Takahashi Hyouri, bassist Tsuda Fumihiko, keyboard player Kameda Taku and drummer Kawano Kenta – who is setting up their instruments to start making music in a studio. Then it goes fast in the video, but also in terms of music, and that is certainly worth watching and listening!
