May last year Europe could welcome Kirby: Triple Deluxe on the 3DS, the thirteenth plat former from the Kirby series. Triple Deluxe not only got attention because of the main game. The two mini games , Kirby Fighters and Dedede’s Drum Dash were extremely popular and so HAL Laboratory and Nintendo responded with two stand-alone versions of the mini-games which are currently downloadable via the e-Shop, namely Kirby Fighters Deluxe and Dedede’s Drum Dash Deluxe. Both will be reviewed on AVO, but today we start with Kirby Fighters Deluxe! Is Fighters Deluxe a nice acquisition if it’s just an extended version of the Kirby Fighters sub game? We researched this just for you!
Happy, Cute, Kirby
The graphics in Kirby Fighters Deluxe are not really different than this in the original Kirby: Triple Deluxe, but no less fun. For whom who hasn’t played the original game, we can already say the following: Kirby Fighters Deluxe is full of color, very droll and exactly as it should. With a design that is very similar to Super Smash Bros., Kirby is very easy to take Fighters Deluxe by players of any age. The use of 3D for us still had what may be clearer on menu screens and especially sharper at the title screen, but fortunately good use is being made of the function once you have passed the Copy Ability Selection screen and enter the fight stages. The 3D option blows namely the otherwise not very spectacular platforms in a new and exciting life.
New Worlds, New Dangers
With Fighters Deluxe these Kirby Fighters will get a lot of new levels. The game on the other hand loses the ‘Another Dimension’ stage from Fighters, but wins however some new Dynablade’s including litter, Butter building, Haldera Volcano and Fountain of Dreams. The ‘Bomb’ copy is a good example of this. Because of the reduced-rate on the bomb throw and the arch which is used to throw the bombs, the ‘Bomb’ ability is not immediately the copy ability where just anyone can jump in the game. ‘Cutter’, on the other hand, is a very flexible choice with the fast close-and long-range attacks.
With the 10 different original copy powers and the two that you can unlock by having Triple Deluxe (Bell and Beetle), to test the four different difficulty levels (Easy, Normal, Hard and Very Hard), you’ll be sweet for a while. After choosing your copy ability and the level of difficulty, with the first stage of nine. Each stage has its own dangers, but as mentioned earlier is also linked to a certain play way.
Kirby Fighters Deluxe has a local multiplayer and co-op mode that is processed in the levels already to give you as a player a foretaste of the game play. Team Battle en Multiplayer
The co-op option, or “Team Battle’’ is something new for Fighters Deluxe and let Fighters for teams and go head on against opponents. With a maximum of four players, you can create all kinds of fun combinations, ranging from the standard Multiplayer option (no teams, just 1v1v1v1v1) to a mix of teams (for example, 1v2v1, 2v2 or even 3v1). Multiplayer with and without Team Battle you can just play together with your friends via Download Play as long as one possess the game.
Team Battles offers a lot of nice extra’s, in both Single Player and Multiplayer. So teams can share items during battles and together control Team Canon for an extremely deadly laser attack on the opposing team. In Multiplayer and 2v2 Single Player the Team Battles will get even something extra to the fights which make it more exciting! The first player in your team that loses its life, returns as a ghost to continue to irritate opponents. Does your team know how to help bring an opponent to another world? The you get to come back in the game!
Perfect breather
Kirby Fighters Deluxe is for the beautiful download price of only 6.99 euro a nice acquisition for those just interested in the combat portion of Kirby: Triple Deluxe. It offers fast fights with a ton of playable Copy Abilities and extend the fun Multiplayer Team Battles with fun. The 9 levels are, however played out on Normal very quickly, so we recommend that, if you already are used to the steering, to put the game on Hard and Very Hard. Online battles are still there, but the Download Play fights with friends and family make this yet what is good. To supplement for Fighters of Triple Deluxe has Fighters Deluxe maybe some too little extra content, even with the new stages, Team Battles and two brand new Copy Abilities, but as dedicated as the game is this is worth the price.
