Japanese garage quartet Otoboke Beaver (おとぼけビ~バ~) will return to the United Kingdom during the Golden Week in 2019 for 6 exclusive shows. This time they will perform with special guests from South Korea: Say Sue Me and Drinking Boys and Girls Choir. The tour, organised by Damnably, will only take place during the Golden Week because the women of Otoboke Beaver are working full time and only can get a few days off during the year, so their performing dates overseas are always limited. Ticket sale will start Friday 7 December from 9.00 in the morning, Greenwich Mean Time.
Say Sue Me are an indie rock band from Busan and started in 2012 with activities. They have been touring Europe a few times and have been cited as one of 2018’s ‘break out bands’. The band just came back from their ‘Where We Where Together’ tour through Europe and they toured twice with Otoboke Beaver and even made a split CD with each other.
Drinking Boys and Girls Choir are a 3-piece skate punk band from Daegu in South Korea. Daegu was famous for hardcore punk during the boom of indie music in Korea in the late 1990s and early 2000s, but it is hard to find the legend since the scene has moved to Seoul. The members of the Drinking Boys and Girls Choir were inspired at the time but were not actually witnessed close, making it similar and irrelevant to any punk band. The band consists of guitarist and vocalist Bondu Seo, bass player and vocalist Meena Bae en drummer and vocalist Myeongjin Kim.
