Punk band waterweed is going to tour Europe from 18 April. The band has a handful of shows planned in the United Kingdom, including a show at Manchester Punk Festival. Furthermore the band is planning to perform in France, The Netherlands, Germany, and the Czech Republic.
waterweed was formed in Osaka in 2003 and have been at the forefront of the Japanese post-hardcore and screamo movement. After releasing a couple of demo’s, the band released an EP in 2007, titled Killing the earth means our suicide. The band consists of bassist and vocalist Tomohiro Ohga, guitarist Hiroshi Sakamoto and drummer Shigeo Matsubara.
waterweed joined the UK independent label Lockjaw Records earlier this year. With this label, they re-release their LP Brightest that got released in Japan in 2017.
