The mixture-rock duo EMNW will embark on a UK Tour in May, which will be their first-ever tour there. The highlight of this tour will be the performances at The Great Escape, which is a music showcase festival and music industry convention, where emerging artists can present themselves in front of a new audience before they might grow further into a bigger name in the music scene, similar to SXSW.

Since their start in 2024, the duo, consisting of MC’s Emma Yuki and Menu, has traversed a diverse range of music genres, from punk, ska, hip-hop and loud rock with never-ending energy, combining cute and fury. The Great Escape describe them as the driving force of the revival of Japan’s Y2K-era mixture movement, carrying the spirit of the early-2000s scene into the modern era.

In a short time, they were able to reach many people in Japan, but also beyond. Their cover of Limp Bizkit’s Rollin’ even drew a reaction from the band’s frontman, Fred Durst, himself. At the start of this month, the duo released their debut album, a self-titled one, with 12 tracks. For this album, they worked with several guest musicians and composers, such as Gaku Taura (Crystal Lake), Kuboty, Tasuya Amano (Crossfaith), DJ Santa Monica (MAN WITH A MISSION), BOTS (DragonAsh), among many others, and it also includes the cover of Rollin’.

May will be a busy month for EMNW, as the duo also has a show planned in Indonesia, at Hammersonic Festival, apart from a couple of shows in their home country, continuing their EMNW To KAMASU – Good Vibes Only Japan tour.
