Singer-songwriter and multi-instrumentalist Eiko Ishibashi will embark on a European tour with American singer-songwriter and composer Jim O’Rourke in April.
The European tour will be kicked off at Rewire Festival in The Hague on the 10th of April. After the show in Dublin on 26 April, Jim O’Rourke will have a separate tour with Christian Fennesz. Eiko Ishibashi will join a couple of these shows.
Described as experimental artists with longstanding music careers, they have created a long lists with collaborations and extensive discographies. But that is not the whole story, because what these two musicians have to offer is incredibly wide-ranging, just as diverse as the musical genres they love to explore for their musical works, solo and as a duo. The two have been in a creative partnership for quite some years, and in 2025, these efforts resulted in the release of their fifth album, Pareidolia. This release comprises material recorded during their performances in Europe in 2023. In the same year, Ishibashi released her first album in seven years, Antigone, which was produced by Jim O’Rourke.
