After several international tours, rock band Zoobombs will be coming to Europe for the first time in February for several performances in France and Spain. The tour, which kicks off on 20 February, consists of thirteen shows, two of which are yet to be confirmed.

The four-piece band from Tokyo has been active for over 30 years and has built up an impressive discography with twelve albums, various compilation and live albums, more than a handful of EPs and over ten singles. Over the years, they have presented various aspects of themselves with elements of garage rock, psychedelic rock, funk and punk.

In addition to their activities in Japan, the indie band has toured extensively outside Japan, including the United States, Canada, and Australia. Their most recent album, their first in nine years, was released in early November 2025 and is titled UMA LAND. The cover art features the band’s mascot, Kumaku, created by Matta, who has been drawing the mascot daily since the band’s inception in the 1990s.

Over the years, the indie band has undergone quite a few changes in the line-up, but vocalist and guitarist Don Matsuo and keyboardist Matta have been part of Zoobombs from the beginning. Currently, the band also consists of bassist Reo Saigusa and drummer Gak Ouchi. During live performances, they stick to a freestyle approach, whereby the order of the songs cannot be determined in advance. The rock band is also known for their energetic performances.
