Even though it hasn’t been that long since the four girls from ExWHYZ visited London as part of WACK in the UK vol. 6, in upcoming January, they will be back as part of their first headlining tour overseas. This time, the alternative idol group will perform in three cities in the United Kingdom.
They will kick off the tour in Bristol’s The Fleece on 29 January, and the day after, they will perform in Manchester’s The Kings Arms. On Saturday the 31st, there will be no concert by the group, but Mikina will be performing with a solo DJ set in the same venue. To conclude, they will be returning to London’s The Underworld, where they also performed last June during WACK in the UK.
While a new edition usually gets announced at the end of every WACK in the UK edition, so far, no vol. 7 has been announced, which might have something to do with the fact that agency WACK is planning to switch things up in 2026 by disbanding most of their groups and starting fresh with an audition program.
Ex-CEO of WACK Junnosuke Watanabe mentioned that they missed the effectiveness of short-form video on social media (Such as TikTok and Instagram) and that they will be starting a new chapter from 2027 onward. This new era of WACK will be kicked off with a training camp audition in March of next year, and existing WACK members are encouraged to join in, so hopefully this won’t be the end for the girls of ExWHYZ.
Although a disbandment has been looming in the air, the group hasn’t been sitting still as they recently released a new upbeat dance track, which in contrast to its cheerful-sounding instrumentals, is called DON’T CRY and features DONGROSSO. The single also has a B-side called Regret (リグレット) and was officially released on 10 December.
