The brothers Shotaro and Youshiro Nishida of SAHAJi have planned a tour of the United Kingdom in November, as the support act for the English indie band The Skinner Brothers. American rock musician Love Ghost will also be performing as the opening act. As for the Japanese rock ‘n’ roll band, the United Kingdom is not an unfamiliar location, as they were there last year for a tour, which included performances with The Skinner Brothers.

The tour has been organised without a label, promoter or booking agent, meaning it has been planned entirely independently by The Skinner Brothers to make a statement against the current situation in the music industry and to keep the underground scene alive on their own. And that seems to be going very well, because mostly of the tour is sold out.

The UK tour comes at just the right time, as all the musical acts have been working hard on new music. On 28 November, SAHAJi will release their first full-length album, entitled Don’t Touch My Soul. The album was recorded in Spain and Wales with the help of Britpop producer Nick Brine. This is not a strange collaboration, because SARAJi decided to join Brine’s record label Flip Flop Records a few years ago. On 31 October, the brothers will release the first single from the upcoming album, Thousand Times.

The Skinner Brothers have also produced a new album, entitled Soul Boy V, while Love Ghost has just released a new single, entitled Geek. In addition, The Skinner Brothers and Love Ghost have collaborated on the song Worth It, for which a music video was recently released.

The two brothers of SAHAJi were exposed to music at a young age and began playing guitar under the influence of their parents, which eventually led to the formation of their current band. When listening to SAHAJi’s music, you can clearly hear the influences of 90s Britpop with their own unique twist. They also cite artists such as Oasis, The Beatles, and Jimi Hendrix, to name a few, as influences. In January 2024, they released their debut EP, Future in The Sky, which will soon be followed by an album.
