After touring France last year, punk rock band THE LET’S GO’s will return to Europe for more shows in October and November. This time, the three-piece will perform in France, Germany, United Kingdom, Belgium and the Netherlands, with more shows yet to be announced. This is not the first outing outside Japan for THE LET’S GOs this year, as they were touring China last March.
The Japanese all-girl band was formed by Coco in 2006 with 50s and 60s punk and rock’n’roll as the backbone with pop melodies and lyrics that come straight from the heart. While the band has undergone many band line-ups, Coco has been the last original band member of THE LET’S GO’s. The band line-up has changed recently with Coco on guitar and vocals, Manami on bass and vocals, and Amechi Sparkle, the latest addition, on drums and vocals.
They are known for their performances that are filled with high energy and a good example is this video with live footage of the gig at Club Goodman for SXSW Online in 2022 where they celebrated the 40th anniversary of pop punk band Shonen Knife with other bands, such as Lolita no.18, Petty Booka, ZARIGANI$, THE TOMBOYS, and of course Shonen Knife.
