Following the conclusion of the fifth edition of WACK in the UK last night, it was announced that the sixth edition will be a special one. This time, it is going to be a two-day event, where acts from the WACK agency as well as other Japanese groups with a similar experimental and energetic style will take to the stage at The Underworld in London. WACK in the UK vol. 6 is scheduled to take place on Thursday 5 and Friday 6 June with three acts performing on each day. Ticket sales start at noon (UK time) on 29 March.

Described by JPU Records as a two-day Japanese music extravaganza in London, music fans can look forward to an exciting musical line-up of Japanese acts.

On the first day of the event, several artists from WACK’s own roster will perform. This includes MAMESHiBA NO TAiGUN (seen in London just last year as MAMESHiBA NO TAiGUN TONAi BOUSHO a.k.a. MONSTERIDOL), known for their appearances on the Japanese television programme Wednesday’s Downtown. In addition, ASP will be performing in London once again, a group with music produced by Mixim (The Prodigy) and Sam Matlock (WARGASM). ExWHYZ, a group that gained fame with their EDM sound and millions of views on YouTube, will also be back on stage at The Underworld as headliner of the first day. This will be the same line-up during WACK in the UK vol. 4, but with new music and experiences.

The second day focuses on artists not part of WACK, and by the looks of it, all the acts have not been to the United Kingdom for a performance before. ZOCX, led by Seiko Oomori, known as a groundbreaking artist within the Japanese music industry, will perform as Day 2’s headliner. An important note is that ZOCX’s Kanano Senritsu will not be present in London; the group will perform in a special formation with Karen Aizome. In addition, MAPA, produced by Oomori, and last but not least, PIGGS, featuring BiS founder Pour Lui, will perform on The Underworld stage.

As with previous editions, a limited number of VIP tickets are available (50 per day). These offer extras such as lunch with the artists, exclusive merchandise and two cheki (polaroid photo). More information about the upcoming event can be found on JPU Records‘ website.
