The three men of Electric Eel Shock are standing in front of a Japanese eatery, identifiable by the banner with the word "おでん" (Oden) on it. The frontman stands in the centre, wears a denim jacket and has his hands in his pockets, while his companions on either side display different postures with one having his arms crossed and the other pointing a finger towards probably the eatery. © Photo by Yuki Kuroyanagi

Electric Eel Shock will be back this May to deliver their blend of classic rock, punk rock and metal to European fans for their Heavy Metal Black Belt tour. Last year they toured Europe for the first time since 2019 to celebrate their 30th anniversary, during which they also released their album Heavy Metal Black Belt.

This year European fans don’t have to wait as long as they’re back to celebrate that new album with a tour named after it. The European tour will start on the 9th of May, with a show in the United Kingdom’s Aberdeen, and the tour will continue on for almost a full two months with a final show on the 21st of June, in the United Kingdom.

This year’s tour will have multiple stops in the United Kingdom, The Netherlands, Spain and Germany with a couple concerts in Denmark, Sweden, Norway and France. A couple dates have been set without the location being announced so keep your eyes on their website.

A cropped version of a photo of Shuya Onuki as KAMIKAMIKAMI, but edited in a way that it shows an eerie and mysterious moment. The photo consists of a bright light source, most probably the sun, and the musician who seemed to have taken the photo in a window. The editing is done by Floor Toppets @/fl00r99 on Instagram, and shows blurring and filters, making it an abstract photo.
