This year, G.L.A.M.S, the solo project of singer-songwriter, painter and jewellery designer Mikaru, celebrates its 10th anniversary, and it will be celebrated with a brand spanking new album and a European tour in November and December.
The new album, titled XI PEERLESS STORIES, is G.L.A.M.S’ fifth album, contains 11 tracks and will be released on 11 November. Later in November, Mikaru and guitarist Yudai will embark on a European tour, which will take the musicians to France, Belgium, Germany, the Czech Republic, and Poland. A few more shows may be added to the schedule, keep an eye on tour organisation HIGHFeeL’s website for the updates.
G.L.A.M.S was announced as a multidisciplinary art project shortly after Mikaru’s previous band BLACK LINE disbanded, the musician was previously been active in visual kei band DIO – Distraught Overlord, which marked the start of Mikaru’s career. BLACK LINE came next, formed by Mikaru and drummer DENKA, who was also active in DIO – Distraught Overlord. All these projects have toured Europe several times, the last time Mikaru was in Europe with G.L.A.M.S was in 2022.
