Since BABYBEARD welcomed their newest member Mahri to the group, the pop-metal idol group has been busy attending conventions across the globe for performances. In October they will add Germany to their list of performances in Mexico, Thailand, the US, and Australia with a performance at MEX Berlin. The 2024 edition of MEX is set to happen on the 25th to the 27th of October at Messe Berlin and BABYBEARD will be performing on Friday, however the exact time slot is not yet known as the complete schedule is yet to be announced.

Last year they performed at Switzerland’s biggest pop culture, video games and manga event Polymanga together with previous member Kotomi. Sadly this was the last time European fans had the chance to see them together in this line-up as after three years of activities, past member Kotomi graduated from the group. She has contemplated for a long time about what kind of idol she really wants to be and concluded that parting ways would be the best step to take. As a result, BABYBEARD started searching for a new member through an open call 4 searching for someone between 16 and 23 confident in singing and dancing. After a month of searching they were able to welcome their newest member Mahri to the group.

After completing the trio they have been visiting conventions around the world with Animole in Mexico and Wonder Festival in Bangkok during Fall last year. Anime Boston and Momocon in the US this year and AV Con in Adelaide to start off their Australia tour in June/July and another US convention Sabotencon in Phoenix Arizona earlier this month. After all these events it will finally be time for them to visit an event in Europe with their new formation during the next edition of anime, manga & gaming convention MEX in Berlin.

Of course MEX Berlin will not only have BABYBEARD but also several other guests and some of the Voice Actors that have already been announced are: Tommy Morgenstern known for voicing Goku in the German dub of Dragon Ball Z, Maria Koschny known for her work as the German voice behind Katniss Everdeen from the Hunger Games and several anime like Demon Slayer and Hubertus von Lerchenfeld known for his dub of Sanji from One Piece.

Several other stage acts have also been announced like Japanese Bossa Nova singer Nilo, K-POP artist Alexa on Saturday, and Petra and Julia Cheeser known for their voice acting work will also be giving a concert to close off the event on Sunday. Aside from the Guests, applications for the Artist Alley have already been opened and a couple artists including Kiriya Kirihara, Neophobica & Lii Yu have already been confirmed to attend and of course there will also be fun events, cosplay and gaming!

Tickets are available on the website of MEX Berlin but sadly the Saturday tickets have already sold out. Luckily fans of BABYBEARD will still be able to see them as Friday & Weekend tickets are still available.

This is a digital painting of the avatar of Vocaloid producer and songwriter Kikuo with colourful and flowing long hair and two red horns. The painting shows Kikuo in a movement where he moves his arms, making it look that he has several arms. The avatar seems to be mysterious with a quiet but expressive look. This painting has been used for the Kikuo World Tour 2024 – 2025 “Kikuoland-Go-Round” promotion.
