The instrumental rock band LITE will be touring Europe, starting with a performance at The Great Escape in the United Kingdom, the tour will also end in the United Kingdom, that being at Portals Festival, but in between, the band will be performing in six other countries. The last time LITE toured Europe was in 2017.

Formed in 2003, the four-piece band comprises Nobuyuki Takeda on guitar, Kozo Kusumoto on guitar and synthesizer, Jun Izawa on bass, and Akinori Yamamoto on drums. Seen as pioneers in the instrumental rock and math rock genres, the band has consistently embraced innovation and experimentation, making a lasting impact both in Japan and outside of it. They have released music under the renowned US indie label Topshelf Records and had extensive tours through North America, Europe and Asia.

In 2021, the band composed and performed soundtracks for the Netflix animation film Bright: Samurai Soul and Kiba: The Fangs of Fiction. A year later, they launched the Fake Creators project with producer and DJ DÉ DÉ MOUSE, which was followed up by their first single in one-and-a-half years in April 2023, Endless Blue, and their seventh album at the end of January 2024, STRATA. LITE released a bonus version of STRATA on 1st May 2024 on CD and LP, including an original bonus track Sosue released on streaming platforms the same day. As frontman Nobuyuki Takeda describes it, the new song is “the craziest ‘indecipherable’ song” from the band yet, surpassing 190 BPM and making it the fastest song in LITE’s history.
