After selling out their first European tour last year, HANABIE. (including the dot) shared their new plans for 2024 bit by bit by revealing several summer festival shows in Europe. Now all European tour dates have been confirmed and shared. The tour will take place in June and July, consisting of 20 shows in 16 countries, starting at Mystic Festival in Poland and ending at Plane’R Fest in France. Before that tour will happen, HANABIE. will tour North America in May.

Just like last year, the four-piece will be performing on stages of (big) festivals, such as Rock Im Park and Rock Am Ring, Graspop Metal Meeting and Download Festival in the United Kingdom. In addition, a couple of headline shows have been added to the band’s European tour schedule.

The Tokyo-based band is known for fusing Japanese pop with metalcore and electronica, although that is a very simplistic description for this group that formed in 2015. The band has been referring to their style as “Harajuku-core”, since the Harajuku street fashion is a big part of the band’s image while they also produce metalcore music, similarly, this music is also often dubbed as loud rock. They have since built a well-rounded discography, including an international fanbase.

Last year, HANABIE. (in Japanese, the band name is written as follows: 花冷え。) signed with Sony Music’s subsidiary label Epic Records Japan and released their first major album, titled 来世は偉人! (Raise wa Ijin!). Below is the music video of their latest digital single, O・TA・KU ラブリー伝説  (OTAKU Lovely Densetsu).
