Soon three Japanese idols — Miho, Nonayu, and Okinawa Electric Girl Saya — are gearing up for a special performance in the Netherlands on 27 January, titled A Family Meeting. It promises to be an interesting evening with a mix of music genres between the three performances.

One of the idols, Miho, had the opportunity to organise her first international idol event. This event had been in the works for a few years, but could not go ahead any earlier because of the global pandemic. This year, the dream of having an own event outside Japan is finally coming true, and to make it even better: it seems to be the first time for all the musicians to perform in Europe.

The event is scheduled for Saturday 27 January, at the Flatertheek in Naaldwijk. For those unable to attend in person, there is a livestream option available, to ensure that fans from around the world don’t have to miss out on this event. A ticket is required to attend the event and is available through the event organiser, Idol Underworld. There are several ticket options: a regular ticket to attend the concert and a VIP ticket, with which you can attend a VIP event before the event gets underway and will provide for some extra perks. Furthermore, the next day, on Sunday 28 January, there will be an Offkai event, which will provide the opportunity for those attending to interact with the musicians and join in to celebrate Miho’s birthday, who celebrated it recently.

Miho is a vocalist who decided to go on the idol route after being a musician for several years. With her experience, she blends her artistic roots into her music. As can be read in her profile, Miho is not afraid to add technical aspects and layers in her songs and play with various musical genres while telling her story with her versatile voice. After releasing several singles, the next step for the solo idol was to release her first album, LIFE, in the summer of 2022, which is partly a collection of previously released singles and several unreleased songs.

For those of you who have been following the Japanese idol worl for some time, you will be familiar with Nonayu, given that she already has an impressive history as an idol musician. Having been active in idol groups like Avandoned, Kaqriyo Terror Architect (also briefly in KAQRIYOTERROR) and Frun Frin Friends, she has undergone several name changes and has been operating under the name Nonayu since spring 2023. From then on, she started making music interweaving the sounds of Shibuya with her distinctive voice, she has released several singles.

Avant-garde musician Okinawa Electric Girl Saya is more on the artistic side in terms of music, considering she is known for her take on experimental electronic music based on many musical genres, including Okinawa folk music, noise, ambient, pop and techno. Looking at the videos of her live performances, you could perhaps describe it as spiritual experience rather than a regular music performance. Okinawa Electric Girl Saya was previously active in the idol group Tincy, but decided to take a different path as a solo artist. She has collaborated with a wide range of artists, such as Tavito Nanao, GENET from AUTO-MOD, Yuki Hata, ESME MORI, doravideo, to name a few.
