Japan’s influential and at the same time notorious music agency, WACK, known for producing nonconventional pop and rock stars, is set to make its overseas debut with an event titled WACK in the UK at The Underworld in London on Thursday 16 November.

The event will feature acts including the notorious idol group ASP, who gained fame with their debut album ANAL SEX PENiS, and ExWHYZ, who recently headlined at Nippon Budokan. The headliner for the evening is a special unit created for this event, AiNATOAOI, comprising of AiNA THE END and acclaimed dancer AOI YAMADA. All musical acts will make their debut in London for this event.

The agency WACK, founded by Junnosuke Watanabe in 2014, is known for shaking up the Japanese music industry and rose to notoriety with BiS, labeled “the most disliked girl group in Japan” by VICE in an article in 2014. They broke up in 2014, ending with a show complete with an unlimited McDonald’s buffet, but they left a lasting impression with their sharp music videos and bold magazine shoots.

Following this, WACK continued to foster unconventional talents that have made waves in both pop and rock genres. For example, BiSH (Brand-new idol SHIT), which at the start was seen as successor to BiS, gained recognition with their “punk band without musical instruments”, even collaborating with prominent figures like Taka (ONE OK ROCK), MEG (MEGMETAL), and KENTA (WANIMA) for their music before disbanding last June of this year. At the moment WACK managed more than 10 artists and groups, also including BiS as the third generation is now active.

Tickets can be purchased here. VIP tickets have already sold out.

Still from the music video "ジャック・オ・ドキドキ (Jack’o’doki-doki)" by the band グラビティ (Gravity). The vocalist of Gravity is standing in the dark on a location that looks like a small graveyard with a few gravestones and a tree. There are some lights making the silhouette of the musician quite clearly, at the same time, it creates a little creepy atmosphere.
