The members of Japanese traditional rock band AKARA recently released a new mini-album, titled World of Revenge. And with this release in their back pocket, they will soon be in France for several performances. As they did last year, the band will return to Japan Expo in Paris and Japan Tours festival for some performances, but they have more shows planned.
The tour through France starts at Japan Tours festival, then they will have a solo show in Paris, which will be followed up by two shows at Matsuricon Méditerranée and ends up at Japan Expo in Paris.
Formed in 2014, the Japanese traditional rock band consists of multilingual vocalist MIKIKO and musicians that use traditional Japanese instruments, such as a koto, shinobue (bamboo flute), nohkan (flute of Noh), and a tsudzumi (drum), with this set-up, they fuse Japanese traditional instruments with rock music. In addition to their performances mainly in Tokyo, they have been in Europe before with performances at Japan Tag in Düsseldorf in 2017 and Japan Expo Paris in 2018, 2019 and 2022.
