Rock and roll band Guitar Wolf will have to look for a new drummer, as ‘Drum Wolf’ Toru has announced that he will be leaving Guitar Wolf after being part of the band for 30 years. That’s almost the entire life span of the band, as Guitar Wolf started activities in 1987.
Before the drummer steps down from the band, there will be one last show as a farewell to the musician. This final show with Toru will be broadcasted live and is scheduled to take place on Friday the 11th of March.
On the website of Guitar Wolf, the following message is shared about the last show with Toru: “This live show will be the last time to see him in Guitar Wolf, a band that he has toured with many times overseas. Fans all over the world should not miss the page of rock’n’roll history that will be engraved on this day.”
As the tickets for the show at the venue Shibuya WWW X itself is sold out, the live broadcast is the only other option to be able to watch this show. The streaming platform of choice for this special showcase is LIVE MINE. The concert will start at 19.00 (Japanese time), which means 11.00 in The Netherlands and 10.00 in the United Kingdom. Not able to watch the concert live? The archive will stay up until the end of Friday the 25th of March.
While the band is searching for a new drummer, it has been announced that Guitar Wolf will return to Europe in a couple of months for a new tour.
