Punk rock band Otoboke Beaver’s plans for the first half of 2022 are revealed: they will be on the road for a tour through North America and Europe. They have quite a few Dutch shows on the programme. The tour is titled SUPER CHAMPON 2022 Tour and includes the first full-length tour of North America in March and April, and almost immediately after that, they will fly to Europe for shows starting in May. There’s even a show planned in Belgium – in Brussels – and at least four shows in the Netherlands, namely in Nijmegen, Rotterdam, The Hague and Groningen plus there are several shows scheduled in the United Kingdom. The grand finale will take place at Primavera Sound. Tickets for the shows have already gone on presale. Find the tour dates below.

The four-piece also shared the meaning for the title, CHAMPON is a Japanese word that means a mix of various things. The four ladies of Otoboke Beaver (おとぼけビ~バ~) toured Europe in 2020 shortly after they decided to quit their full-time jobs. They had planned to return to Europe that same summer for festival appearances and a further tour around the world, but things took a turn for the worse due to the COVID-19 pandemic. But the good news is that fans are looking forward to shows in 2022. For Otoboke Beaver it is the first time for them to perform in Ireland, Belgium and Spain.

Normally, during the winter period, many new tour announcements come from Japanese acts with plans to conquer Europe with their music in the new year. Compared to previous years, there are not that many European tours announced for 2022 yet. The main reason why things are slowed down is pretty obvious: the pandemic and the regulations that go with it in the various countries. It is waiting to many more European tour announcements.
