Another version of the Okashi na Salon candy kits, but this time pets are getting a haircut. You can create any hairstyle you’d like. Each kit includes a sheet of stickers, two blue candies, two pink candies, a doll, scissors and a plastic re-sealable bag. There are several versions of the dolls and the stickers available.

The texture of these candies reminded me of starbursts, but slightly softer. They had a lot less flavour to them as well.
The pink ones were a lot less dark than they were on the packaging and had a very faint strawberry flavour. Blue tasted slightly like ramune. The two flavours combined fit together well, but overall the main flavour was sweet, although not overly sweet at all.

This candy kit takes almost no time and there’s no waiting time in between.

This is an easy candy kit, but the candy can get sticky after a little while, making the hairs stick together.

As you can see on the pictures below, the final product looks pretty similar to the packaging. The main difference is in the colours and fullness of the ‘hair’. If you add a few extra strands in between you would achieve the same fullness.

Clean the mould with warm water, after using it, and let it air dry. Don’t use soap to clean the mould.
You could recreate this kit using chewy candies, like Starbursts, and warming them slightly to make them more pliable.
