Girl band SCANDAL have announced that they will once again postpone their world tour, with shows in Europe and North America, planned for fall this year. Furthermore, SCANDAL announced that they will share tour dates for shows in Asia soon.
The European and North American tours were postponed before, all due to the ongoing situation around the COVID-19 pandemic. The European fans have to wait another year before SCANDAL will finally be in Europe for a tour, if all goes according to plan. The wait for the fans in North America is a bit shorter, with a few months.
The band shared an explanation on their social media and website: “Given the escalating resurgence of Covid-19 outbreak in the world, it is with great regret that we are postponing this year’s Europe and North America tour to 2022. We were very much looking forward to meeting everyone and enjoying live music together, however, we think everybody’s health is the first priority.”
Observant fans had raised questions after SCANDAL announced the national tour on the 21st of August. This tour is scheduled for October consisting of four shows with CHAI, indigo la End, Chiaki Sato, and Vaundy as guest of one of the shows. The tour finale of that Japan tour seemed to coincide with one of the shows in Europe. Fans were asking publicly if this means that the European tour would be postponed once again, unfortunately, SCANDAL confirmed a week later that this was the case. The tours were planned to promote SCANDAL’s ninth studio album release of Kiss From The Darkness.
The European and North American tour dates are now confirmed for 2022, in July and September. The tickets for the shows are on sale. Purchased a ticket for the original show dates? That ticket will remain valid for the newly announced shows. If you are unable to attend the new date, you will be entitled to apply for a refund or voucher, depending on local policy.
