Hellfest to return in 2022 with XXL edition: band line-up confirmed
Share on FacebookShare on TwitterShare on RedditShare on Tumblr

In February, it became known that the 15th-anniversary edition of Hellfest would be postponed once again. Dates were set for 17, 18 and 19th of June 2022. Today, the organisation came with the big surprise that they will extend this celebration, making it a 7 day-long event by adding a second festival weekend to it.

Now the metal festival will take place from 17 to 19th of June and the second weekend will be four days long from 23 to 26nd of June. This means that the festival will be inviting more than 350 artists from all kinds of music genres fitting under the extreme music umbrella spread over 6 stages.

For those with interest in joining Hellfest, have to rely on the second weekend. The first weekend has been sold out since October 2019, as mentioned in an impressive promotion video that Hellfest shared with their announcement, and these tickets are still valid for the 2022 edition. The ticket sale for the second weekend will start on the 7th of July.

The line-up has been announced as well and in the case of those who love to enjoy Japanese music, might be glad to know that most of the Japanese bands that were confirmed for the postponed 2020 and 2021 editions are confirmed for Hellfest 2022. Those are CRYSTAL LAKE (Saturday 18 June), envy (Saturday 18 June), MONO (Saturday 18 June) and Maximum The Hormone (Sunday 19 June). Expect a couple of more band confirmations later. It is also worth noting that MONO also planned a European tour earlier in 2022 .
