Dutch anime convention Nishicon will be postponed to 2022. The convention has been postponed a few times since last year due to the ongoing situation of the pandemic. Nishicon was originally planned for May 2020 and moved to August of the same year, this was also not possible and it was decided that the event would take place in 2021 without confirming a date. Now it is also a fact that Nishicon will ‘time skip’ to 2021.
With the theme that was decided for the upcoming Nishicon, Bizarre Adventure, it seems that the convention will keep on following the path of an unconventional experience. The exact date for this upcoming edition in 2022 will be announced soon.
The organisation of Nishicon says about the postponement: “Unfortunately, with the current state of the Covid pandemic, it will not be possible to organise Nishicon in 2021 either, which is why we have definitely decided to move to 2022.”
The tickets that have been purchased until now will be valid for the new date. Keep an eye on the Nishicon website for programming updates when the new date is known.
