Two years after their second performance at Download Festival 2018 in the United Kingdom, BABYMETAL announced that they will return to this festival for a performance in 2020. The festival announced 37 new names including BABYMETAL and they will join the headliners for that year, namely KISS, Iron Maiden and System of a Down. BABYMETAL is planned for Saturday 14 June, on the same day that System of a Down will headline the festival.
Download Festival UK 2020 will take place from 12 till 14 June at Donington Park. Download Festival started in 2003 and is now being said UK’s biggest rock and metal festival. The festival has won different prices over the years. Download Festival is annually held at Donington Park in Leicestershire, since the beginning of the festival, and have hosted big names as Saxon, Black Sabbath, Slipknot, Metallica, Iron Maiden, Motörhead, Aerosmith, AC/DC, Def Leppard, Kiss, Judas Priest, Status Quo, Mötley Crüe, Journey, ZZ Top, Whitesnake, Thin Lizzy, and Guns N’ Roses.
Before BABYMETAL will perform at European festivals in the Summer, they will embark on a European tour to promote their newest album METAL GALAXY. This tour will take place in February.
