Female fronted metalcore band FAKE ISLAND will tour Europe for the first time this Summer and the tour dates have been announced. The tour will take place at the end of August and the beginning of September. The band will a few club shows and will perform at Abunai! 2019 as the main act. The band will perform in France, The Netherlands, Belgium and Germany.
The tour dates are as follows:
Friday 23 August: Bobble Café – Lille, France
Saturday 24 August: Abunai! 2019 – Veldhoven, The Netherlands
Sunday 25 August: Le Garage – Liege, Belgium
Friday 30 August: Rock Classic – Brussels, Belgium
Sunday 1 September: Tsunami Club – Cologne, Germany
Friday 6 September: La Forge – Arras, France
Saturday 7 September: La Marquise – Lyon, France
Sunday 8 September: L’International – Paris, France
The performance at Abunai! 2019, with as theme High Tech, Low Life, will take place at the Main Stage from 17.30 till 18.30, directly afterwards they will have a signing session. Merchandise will be sold before, during and after the show.
At some of the shows FAKE ISLAND will perform with the cyberpunk band HighTechLowLife, more can be found in this article and at the shows in Liege, Lens and Cologne, the Belgian mathcore band post- will be the support act.
The band consists of two female vocalists, YuuriBjoux and Erica. In terms of vocals, they are quite the opposite of one another but do also complement each other: one does the growls section, the other the clean vocals. In September 2017, FAKE ISLAND released their first self-titled mini-album. In January of this year, bassist HARIBOW decided to leave the band, but since the end of June bass player Igarashi, who acted as one of the support members, became officially the newest member of FAKE ISLAND. Furthermore, FAKE ISLAND consists of guitarist Matsumoto and drummer Reiji, the person who started with FAKE ISLAND in early 2017.
