KUUNATIC announced to perform at the 2019-edition of Raw Power Festival in London. The performance at this festival will take place on Sunday 26 May. At the end of 2018, the tribal oriental dreamy psych band posted a message that they will go back to Europe for a tour. On 30 May, they will perform at Muskelrock festival in Sweden.
Raw Power Festival will take place from 24 May till 26 May at The Dome Tufnell Park in London. Other Japanese acts that will perform at this festival are Hibishibire, 20 Guilders, and Nani-Guru (Makoto Kawabata and Nani from Acid Mothers Temple).
KUUNATIC was formed in Tokyo in 2016, by 3 female members who have completely different musical and cultural backgrounds. They integrate traditional Japanese music, Latin music, progressive rock, psychedelic rock, dub music, horror film soundtrack music etc and expresses their outlandish world. Topping with 3-female vocals, they make listeners trip into their ritual translunary land. Their first EP KUURANDIA released in late 2017 was featured in many media in and outside Japan. KUUNATIC released in the Summer of 2018 a split 7″ single with Taiwanese fuzz psych garage band CROCODELIA and is planning to release an album in 2019. Earlier in 2018, the band toured in the United Kingdom for the second time.
