Almost eight years have passed since the Tohoku earthquake and Fukushima nuclear accident in Japan. Mako & Ken Oshidori are Japanese comedians who have kept track of the aftermath of Fukushima. They will visit The Netherlands, Germany and France and hold a lecture to give us an insight into the on-going disaster. Furthermore, guest speaker Andries Tieleman will give a short presentation about Climate Reality.

Every year the two comedians get invited to Germany to give lectures and join in conferences, this is their first visit to The Netherlands. The talk and discussion in The Netherlands will take place on Tuesday 5 February at Hogeschool van Amsterdam. The entrance for the talk and pay is € 5,00. For students the entrance is free and donations are always welcome. The evening will start at 19.00 till 21.00 and the languages during the evening are Japanese and English.

The event is organised by Hope Step Japan!, a collective of Japanese residents who organises events every year around March 11, in which the Great Earthquake of 11 March 2011 is commemorated by means of various activities, which focus on how now after this earthquake that took place on 11 March 2011. In recent years, the organisation ensured that there is room for information provision, discussions, workshops, the possibility to buy products from Japan and more to create awareness related to post 311 Japan from different angles and to make people (re)think about the current living condition together and make positive steps forward. This is not only for Japan but for the entire globe.

Other talks of Mako and Ken will take place on Monday 4 February at Novotel Lyon Confluence in Lyon, organised by Nos Voisins Lointains 3.11. It is the first time for the two to visit France. On Wednesday 6 February, Mako and Ken will give their talk at Mehringhof in Berlin, this is organised by Sayonara Nukes Berlin.
